In our latest Driver Power survey the Mk3 Octavia dropped slightly to 66th place, but this is to be expected for an ageing model just before its replacement arrives. It also has some rarity value in 2WD form having only been offered during MY19 afaik. The new car is a year younger, both old and new had done under under 10,000 miles. I have a 1.4 TSi with a manual gearbox and do about 12k miles a year - I just like changing gear so DSG was never really a consideration :-) It's a lovely smooth gearbox and works well with the engine. I have heard of some issues with the new 1.5 TSi + manual gearbox combo - so worth checking this has been sorted before ordering anything.
