Dnipropetrovsk. Feb 27, 2008. #1. Hello! With Punto 1.8 16V and 33.000 km on clock I have average oil consumption is about 1 liter per 1000 km. That worried me much, and I decided to replace gaskets and valve seals. Job was done by my mechanic, but unfortunately oil consumption didn't fall to normal values like, say, 1 liter per 10000-25000 km.

Buying a Polo makes no sense at all. As mentioned above a Fabia or Ibiza make much more sense. Either way with a 1.2 none of these cars will be as much fun as a Punto. If you get a 1.2 16v Punto you'll have a car with proven reliabilty and an engine that loves to be revved.

Hi guys, I drive a 2000 Punto Sporting 1.2 16V, maybe will upgrade it to a 1.4 16V. I saw a throttlebody of an Stilo 2.4 20V and it looks quite similar to the Bosch throttlebody on my 1.2 16V. Would this throttlebody bolt right on as it might have a bigger inner diameter or is it a whole lot
1.4 16v (843a1000) engine 1.2 16v engine loom/coil pack w. wires/ 1.2 16v ecu/bodycomputer/keys (all from one car) 1.2 16v throttle peddal (I have wiring diagramm, no big thing wiring this thing up to the ecu) The ecu and stuff will be here in a few days. Does any one of you guys know wether the 1.2 ecu/engine loom fits the old 8v inner loom?
Ive fitted a mk1 Sporting engine to a Mk2 Sporting and fitted a fly by wire Bravo engine to a cable throttle Bravo, twice. Its far easier to fit the newer engine into the older car. Swap the studs in the manifold. Use the cat with the newer engine and plug up the down stream sensor. Make a plate for the cam sensor.
As for this, it is a Sporting model, 1.4 16V 70Kw, 6 speed transmission, dual climate, cruise control, ASR, Hillholder, electric mirrors, electric windows, subwoofer, etc. I would say very decently equipped. Hi, I bought a Punto 1.4 16V Sporting as my second Punto MK2b. I have reached the stage that this generation of Punto suits me best in all
